My wife and I found Adam G. through a referral from a friend who had a very positive experience. We had been in the market for about a year with a Capitol Hill-based realtor, who was great for DC, but we didn't feel had the expertise for a SF home in the Arlington market. Adam came to the rescue. Upon the first meeting in February, he appeared to listen to our needs, wants, and budget. Right away, Adam proactively showed us properties that were in line with our goals, and never tried to push a house on us. Several times we looked at properties that knowingly were not the best option, but were meant to help us think through what we were ultimately looking for. This was helpful and Adam was extremely patient throughout the process.
It took us about four months to get under contract, and we felt confident with Adam managing the negotiation and getting us to closing. The seller was difficult to say the least and I have very high expectations, which made Adam's job challenging at times. He exceeded my expectations and made my wife and I feel good about the purchase, and he absorbed the mess on the other end. Adam gets five stars because he never quit helping us, up to and after closing. He never passed us off or quit being an advocate for us, which we found extremely helpful. We totally recommend having Adam in your corner.

Buying a house can be a very overwhelming and stressful experience, but James was very patient with us, and made us feel calm and confident throughout the whole process. We spent about 6 months working with James. During this time we changed our mind completely about what type of property we were looking for. He always listened to how we felt at the moment, and never made us feel rushed into settling for a place. I lost count on how many homes we toured. He always made himself available to us whether it was to answer questions or show us a home. When we toured a home, he always pointed out pros and cons, which was greatly appreciated since he is the expert. He explained the process of making an offer and what would make a great offer, but never pressured us to offer more than what we were willing to. He made sure that the closing process was very smooth and he kept answering our questions even after we moved into our new place. We love our new home and we would recommend James Thomley from Real Living to anyone.
